I really dislike the apple os, its just so awkward and they try to be unlike microsoft in every way. Imo it comes with no real benefits, id rather use windows.

And that's what gets to me the most about Apple and their fanboys. Got a better product? Ok, sell it based on its strengths. Instead, Apple continues to mock the competition AND at the same time does its best to copy its software.

People like to talk about the added security and safety of the Mac OS vs. Windows, when the simple facts are these:

1. Most virus/spyware issues that computer users face are user-based issues. I've had ONE problem that I recall with a virus and that was because someone else using my computer clicked on something that shouldn't have been clicked.
2. Yeah, most viruses out there are created to infiltrate Windows systems. What do you expect when a large majority of computer users out there are Windows users? If you were a terrorist, would you plant a bomb in a crowded area or a sparsely-populated area?

i won't compare operating systems. This isn't about which OS is better, it's about what do you get for your money and at 1800 i get a hell of a lot more with a m1330 than i do with airshite. granted it's at the cost of space, but it's not like m1330 is big. It was already the second smallest 13 inch notebook so i'm ok with the size.


how could i forget.

airshite and base model m1330 do have something in common - built in basic intel graphics. m1330 is upgradable to an nvidia 8600 i think. I think that's the card on mine, but i don't remember. a bit necessary for any of the basic games these days.

let's move on to connectivity, m1330 has options for built-in verizon wireless or cingular.

Read about it in the papers another day. Stylish as hell but kinda pointless.

There are some things that make me not buy this (other than it being a Mac and me having already a decent laptop). It might be cool that it is super-thin but it also makes it a lot vulnerable to literally falling into pieces. I know the chance of this happening is small but it needs to be considered.
No DVD-Rom. This is really surprising. Sooner or later every person needs to use it.
No place to plug in internet cable. They say it is a laptop for a moving person but I still have a home. I think many Apple users would like to download their songs iTunes faster as well.
If I remember correctly then it also had only one USB place which is the biggest obstacle. Obviously I have a mouse but what happens when I want to update my iPod, synchronize my phone or use my ID-card.

well it's quite possible that in the future the ipod will be able to communicate via wifi to the laptop. i wouldn't be surprised if that was the plan.
