Did anybody see the article in ESPN magazine about who is cheering for the pats. They interviewed fans from all the NFL teams and asked who they were cheering for. The only people cheering for the pats are the pat's fans.

Thought that was pretty interesting.

They've become the Evil Empire, just like the Yankees. We as United fans should know a thing or two about that.

I'm still holding out slim hopes for an upset. I have almost as much contempt for Tom Brady as I do for a certain former Atlanta QB. We shall see. Enjoy the game!

The Patriots are going to win by a lot.

I'm sorry, but I don't trust any teams offense run by one Eli Manning.

Pats are scoring no less than 30 points.

you do realize that them winning a lot has nothing to do with Eli Manning. The key part of the formula you're ignoring is the Giant defense, which at half time has showed up to play.

I do now.

The Giants defense were nothing short of outstanding.

5 sacks

16 pressures

23 hurries

Brady was on the run the whole game.

I'm stunned. I figured this was going to be a cakewalk. Not that I care for the Pats or anything. I thought they would at least cover there spread. Ah well, no more perfect talk. The Dolphins of 72 can start talking there smack again.

EDIT:

Two Things:

1. Bellichick is a prick for walking of the field with time remaining on the clock. Lets see how the media plays it. Completely classless.
2. Tiki Barber. I can't wait to see what he has to say, because he's an ass for throwing his team under the bus. I'm very happy that you are NOT getting a ring. Prick.

Well i for one was cheering for the Pats. I just don't like the idea of a team that has lost 5 games in the season having a chance at being the 'best team in the land'. I believe that if you're the best, your record should show it. The Patriots have the best record in the league, and i don't think anyone can deny that they are the best team despite them losing this game. I've never been a fan of this playoff stuff, worse the basketball-style best of seven series.

you can't do the "best out of" in football, it just doens't fit the sport.

That said, the Giants were the best team, 11 straight wins on the road. That destroys the previous record. They led the league defensively, in saks and proved it tonight. Tonight was not a fluke. If there was something that was a surprise, it was Eli Manning's temperament in the fourth quarter.

otherwise I'd like to point people to Buress' prediction of 23-17 and in particular Brady's arrogance in saying that his offense wouldn't be limited to 17.

Quote:
Tom Brady scoffed when told Wednesday that New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress guaranteed New York will beat Brady’s undefeated New England team in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

“We’re only going to score 17 points?” Brady said before chuckling about it. “OK. Is Plax playing defense? I wish he had said 45-42 and gave us a little credit for scoring more points.”
Yeah Tom, you were really on point. Take your 18-1 ass home and fuck that supermodel.

Sure hope you didn't put any money on that little prediction of yours there.

Twas an excellent game though, and thankfully the right team won as well.

in spite of some of the comments i've seen about Manning what got the Giants that score, and the game, was the play before it when he refused to go down even though he had three or four guys hanging on to him! Admittedly it was the defence that kept them in it so that one touchdown mattered. Lead change three times in the 4th quarter, great game to watch.
