Reyes makes Benfica switch

Man, this chaps career has gone down the toilet.

After demanding to leave Arsenal because of the weather, he has turned into a nomad with regards to finding a home.

Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid
and now Benfica.

Sad. I wish footballers would stick with teams that are firmly behind them.

The 24-year-old has joined the Portuguese club on a season-long deal after a disappointing campaign with Atletico.

Reyes joined Atletico from Arsenal last summer but failed to score a single goal in 26 appearances for the club.

He did not figure in Javier Aguirre's plans for the new season and Atletico have also given Benfica the option to buy Reyes at the end of his loan spell.

The Spaniard started his career with Sevilla before moving to the Gunners in 2004.

He spent two years in the Premier League and then linked up with Real Madrid on loan for the 2006/07 season.

Real were tipped to sign Reyes on a permanent basis but city rivals Atletico won the chase for his signature.

I dontn think he is saying that but you have to admit that since Real madrid, its just been down hill.

This is the same guy that was meant to be better than Ronaldo......but then again, gooners thought that walcott will be the equivelant of Rooney but has turned out to be the next Arjen Lennon.
