Default Best Summer Signing so far ? - 01-27-2008, 02:34 AM

i was going to wait till the end of the transfer window but it seems highly unlikely that we will buy anyone in the next few days.

Who do you think has been the best summer signing so far? Take into consideration how much we paid for them.

In the summer we bough:
Anderson - 17 million
Nani - 14.5 million
Hargreaves - 17 million
Tevez - on loan (estimated price - 17 million)

il post my views later but who do you thing has been the best signing so far this season and why?

I think Tevez has helped United more than others. He scored the winner against Liverpool, Birmingham, he has been playing well in every match. I think he proved that he's worth to be an United player.
Nani has been useful also. But he had to compete with Giggs, so he didn't get to play in every match (like Tevez did, due to Saha and Rooney's injuries).
Anderson - still waiting for his first goal for us! :-)
Hargreaves - last few matches he played very well (still remember his free-kick against Reading).

I voted for Tevez. Let's face it, he's been a beast in the box. His link up play with Rooney has been better than anyone would have imagined. His tireless presence on the field and eye for goal were the main reasons why I chose him.

I voted for Tevez.

He has been outstanding and the critics who said he and Rooney cannot play together ate their words. And he is just 23 - he'll be even better.

Hargreaves - I love him, today he was great, but he had an injury plagued half of season, hopefully, he will play often now.

Anderson - he has all the trappings of a genius. A little polish and he will be perfect.

Aside from that amazing goal against MIddlesbrough Nani didnt convince me, but there is still time

They are all great players. Hargreaves has been disappointing, but that is largely due to the injuries that he had. Anderson has been the most imressive. You could see his worth when he came on against Tottenham. Although Scholes and Anderson are both attack minded playyes, I think they can sitll play together in the midfield. Nani has the quality, but needs to stop immitating Ronaldo. Tevez complements Rooney. They bring calmness and superb quality to the team. Overall, my fovourite has been Anderson so far. He performed Scholes' responsibilities very well.

tevez and anderson .. really cant pick one

with scholes out , anderson came in and did the job very well
and with saha's permanent condition , tevez has been a great partner for rooney

scholes and saha did for us last season what anderson and tevez have done now

nani .. long term replacement for giggs .. not bad .. limited chances

hargreaves ... dont really need a DM in most of the league games .. but does his job well when needed ..

Tevez for me.He's been excellent in his free role behind Rooney.Actually he creates, scores, runs and so much more.Of course we have to consider that he did not need time to fit in since playing in Premiership last season as well.
