Default Striker admits United interest - 02-11-2008, 08:52 PM

The only Italian striker that I would want playing at United is Luca Toni. Do I care for him at United? NO.

Fabio Q now is saying he's interested.

I think United should take a look at the failed Italian experiment with City and Bianchi.

Furthermore, wasn't this chap co owned?

Quote:
Udinese striker Fabio Quagliarella has admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

United are believed to be tracking the Italian international and have sent scouts to watch him on numerous occasions this term.

The 25-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising strikers in Europe after impressing for club and country over the last 12 months.

Quagliarella says a move to a big Italian or Spanish club would be an attractive proposition, but it is the interest from United that grabs him.

Flattered

"I like the Italian giants and Spain is attractive, but when I heard that Manchester United were in the frame, I was very flattered," Quagliarella told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Nonetheless, I want to reiterate that Udinese is a great place and I am happy here. I am in no hurry to leave. I have five years on my contract and I won't be talking about anything until the summer."

i dont think he has actually been scoring many goals this season.

we were reportedly on the verge of bidding for him last season but we didnt because we had others who ranked higher on our lists.

IMO we do need another striker and i trust fergie will find the right one. Tevez purchase was great although i remember fergie saying that united rejected 10 mill offers for tevez before he joined west ham "because united dont need him".

let me point out this post. I think that should be the only striker we should be looking to get into Old Trafford. As far as Italians, the only one they have that I like is Pepe Rossi.

Oh guys, we need a striker as soon as possible!
In the light of the latest match of MU against MC when Rooney just watched the game from tribunes and there was nobody who could support Tevez in atack, believe me SAF have to think very serious about 1 or 2 strikers acquisition next summer.

My option falls on Benzema and Qualiarella.

I think Quagliarella is Ok.A good addition to the squad..hes better than Saha and he scored two magical goals againts Lithuania...Before others get him,we must seriously think about this player..Berbatov is way to expensive,Quagliarella has the potential to be better than him...

Fabio is good,but..there are better options available!

Of course he s interested, every player would love to play for a club like United!

P.S.:Lets hope he is not the last player on our shortlist!
