I've followed Berbatov's career since (pretty much) day one. While I admit I'd be delighted if he came to United I have to point out one of his major weaknesses. He often misses easy chances.. I'm not sure if this is acceptable for a club with such high standards as United. Then again... Tevez seems to miss plenty of chances as well.

Personally I think SAF may pass on this because Berbatov will be (or already is) 27 years old.. So he doesn't really fit the "young and for the future" profile that most of the new signings seem to belong to.

Who knows what's going to happen???

Default Straight swap? United want Berbatov but Spurs will insist on Nani in exchange - 12-17-2007, 03:12 PM

Man, you have to read this.

Immediately, I thnk it is quite ridiculous considering United spent quite a bit on Nani and he hasnt' even had time to really settle in the club. From recent memory, the only person I can remember SAF pulling the plug on rather quickly was Taibi. Nani is miles ahead in talent and future potential.

However, could this mean that dada's dream finally comes true. If you don't know dada, lemme tell you a bit about this member.

Smart, yet has a massive man crush on one Ricardo Quaresma. :P

Reason I mention this is if United were to pull the plug on Nani (highly doubt it), they could go after Quaresma to cover the spot left by Nani. SAF did mention that he had interests in Quaresma.

Again, as I've made mention before. I really do not want Berbatov at the club.

Quote:
Dimitar Berbatov could finally be heading to Manchester United if Sir Alex Ferguson is prepared to make Portugal starlet Nani a makeweight in the deal.

The Daily Star Sunday reveals Spurs are prepared to discuss a swap deal with the Premier League champions.

Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli was interested in Nani earlier in the year but missed the boat when United also latched on to the talents of the 21-year-old midfielder which were on display with Sporting Lisbon.

If we were able to just buy him yeah I'd consider it but a swap? No WAY!

That would be great if we got Berbatov. But what would happen to Saha?

they said the same thing for kid from lyon...it's rubbish

swap deals almost never happen in the first place and secondly Berba is not worth that much. lastly, if there is any rumour that is likely it's filling in our wing back positions. everything else I think will be static until the summer.

I'd preffered Benzema instead Berbatov. At the same time saha must rest in MU, i dont want him to leave. Hi is very fast player able to change the game course so it will be better if SAF will be more patient with him, who knows maybe the dark period of his health will end and we will enjoy the 100% Saha!!!

Berba + Lahm = Happy New Year!!!

It means we'll be all set for a couple of good years to come.

This is becoming saga "ala owen Hargreeves". The funny thing is that United have not confirmed a single time that they did bid for Berbatov.. How excactly Daily mail knows all this I have no clue... The way it looks right now it's all a speculation. Still it does seem to affect Berbatov as he's clearly not happy at spurs regardless of what he may be saying...
