The player's advisor insists when Christantus does move - he will be moving for football, and not financial, reasons.
"Macauley's a special talent. Just about every top club in Europe has inquired about him," said his advisor Chris Nathaniel.
"The decision about where he goes will not be based on money. It's about taking him to the right club to develop his football."
i definitely don't get it. he doesn't look that good. at 17 i guess he's a giant, but height doesn't necessarily mean you can head the ball in the net. sorry, but i think i'd pass on him based on that video.

There is a reason I bleed red. United until I die.
I'd say he must be some talent considering he won the Golden Boot and was awarded the Silver Ball by people who actually watched the tournament (not just some random highlights). I believe he has the tools to be a good player in the future if not put under too much pressure to perform almost instantly(He already has the body so thats outta the way). Just need to work with him technically a bit and the rest should work its way into place. Of course there are no guarantees in football but still...
yeah i agree dada, i think he had a lot of potential.
but hamburg have beaten us to him. Good luck to him anyway

The 17-year-old had looked to be on his way to the Premier League with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all interested in landing him.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Ajax, Internazionale and Milan were also showing an interest in the young striker, who won the Golden Ball at the World Under 17 Championship earlier this year.
But now Hamburg have managed to agree a deal to take him from Abuja FC.
"We are delighted that we were able to convince him of our concept," HSV sport director Dietmar Beiersdorfer told the club's official website.
Chrisantus has agreed an initial amateur contract at the HSH Nordbank Arena and he will then sign a professional deal at the end of the season.

Not necessarily. I imagine that presented with decision to select which club would be most beneficial to his career he may have chosen Hamburg because he'll probably play alot more alot sooner and with a more significant role. If we really want him then in a couple years we could go back and present an offer for him. At least Jeremy Menez is still an option out there we are supposedly looking at and I had more interest in him from the get-go.
