We have 3 world class strikers and I've been looking to see Campbell increasingly (his loan spell is up mid January). We don't need another striker; look to the youth squads.
I definitely like the idea of turning to the youth players, afterall thats what made United great. I wonder if Sir Alex may try and bring in another loan player, similar to the Larrson deal last season.

Like Viduka? I could like that.

Re. the young players: besides Campbell, there's also Brandy, who's banging them in left and right.

As far as youth players go I just have to trust Fergie on that one. It would be nice to utilize our system but at the same time quality is quality and I'd hate to see them stuff players in the squad who arent up to standard just for the sake of validating the existence of the system. I'm sure Fergie would love to stick a few of them in the first team but he knows this is a results oriented business and as much as the fans would love to see us grow internally as soon as a few results go against us they'll be singing a different song.

Someone once said "if they're good enough, they're old enough". If Fergie does bring in a youth player, we should trust his instincts.

We should go for Jozy Altidore

Seriously, though, we should pick him up...

Fordward
Fergie doesnt have to look far for a backup 3rd striker, he could use Fraizer Campbell and Dong Fangzhuo.
Honestly i cannot see (and do not want to see) Dimitar Berbatov or Anelka joining Manchester United. But if Fergie were to purchase a 3rd striker I'd recommend Klass Jan Huntelaar or Freddy Adu.

Midfield
The right, left and center positions are completely filled up. No need for any additions.

Defence
Man UTD lacks in the LB position. We sold Heinze, but never really purchased another LB. So the purchase of a new aggressive (similar to Gabriel Heinze) LB should be in the books for Man UTD

all of those striking options are crap. Campbell is the only one with a sniff of a chance at being a success. the rest are crap. Well Dimitar is class, but for various reasons, including him being a tad old, a bit too expensive he's probably not the right choice.

what exactly has Campbell done to be considered a viable 4th option in the striker department?

Please don't say his loan stint.

If he was as good as some of you are making him out to be, he would be with the first team.

Definitely should be looking for an experienced striker who is happy in the role of sub and most importantly, can be effective when called upon.

Altidore...

i don't disagree with that at all funky, the differences is that he's quick and talented.... and raw. dong is just shite.

why would defoe leave warming the bench at spurs and decide to come north and warm a colder bench?
