Default Rumor Mill: Jussi Jaaskelainen - 11-21-2007, 07:58 AM

Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have all been linked with the Finland international in the past and there will be plenty of interest in recruiting his shot-stopping talents around the Premier League.

Jaaskelainen's agent Peter Harrison expects the goalkeeper to leave England, however, with Inter Milan a possible destination.

"There are no talks planned with Bolton and various agents and clubs have been in touch with me from abroad and we will assess it in January," Harrison said.

"We are very disappointed with the way talks went but we will just have to get on. I think he will be leaving at the end of the season, I don't think he will leave midway through the season."
not sure we will need him tbh. He is a great keeper, but we have vds and P.I.G. and next year we will have foster fit again, not sure where jussi will fit in those plans.

perhaps he is seen as like for like replacement for VDS, but i think VDS has either signed is in the process of signing a new deal.

This is a tough one, VDS isn't getting any younger, Kuzaak looks like a great stand in, but i'm not convinced he's number one material. Foster looked promising at watford, but he needs to recover from his injury and get a good run in the first team. That could take another year. Jaaskelainen is good, but whats the point when hes already 32 and we have two "older" keepers already. Throw Ochoa into the equation and all you get is a headache. Two younger keepers may spur each other on to greatness or maybe not, aaargg this is so confusing, glad i'm not a football manager....

I'd take Jussi in a heart beat. He's far better than PIG. Jussi is as good of a shot stopper and far better at handling cross etc. Just think about how much practice he must have gotten the last few years dealing with Bolton's set pieces on the training pitch.

I'd take Jussi as well, people forget how amazing he has been for 4-5 years running now, he is a brilliant shot stopper as pointed out, and has a lot of experience in premiership. He is very underrated, but whenever you see Bolton games you can see how much the defense counts on him and how he has single handedly kept bolton in so many games. Brilliant goalkepper and I agree with Stefan, and for free we should deffo sign him as we don't lose anything.

He is a decent keeper, still makes a silly mistake now and then, but that is the same with all keepers! they are human after all! lol Ben Foster will take his time getting back to fitness, may be we need to loan him out again so he can get match practise! I dont see him playing this season! Regardless if he is fit to play! Another keeper may be on the cards, we will have too see what materialises over the coming months!
