he is very technically gifted but i guess he would just be another striker at united that cant header.

i know we tried to get defoe before, but i am not sure if we would still be interested in him. IMO there is no way he can challenge rooney, tevez and saha

Defoe is a very good player.

However, United have 2 vertically challenged forwards in Rooney and Tevez. We need a forward with some height and aerial abilities imo.

Shame that Defoe doesn't start for the Spuds. Hopefully he finds a team where he can start week in and week out.

I really dont even understand why he is still with the Spurs. I personally dont think he is that bad a player (better than alot out there I think) but as funk said I'd prefer a striker with a bit more height to him.

Btw funk, your fav club team is 'Mancheter United'?

I agree, Defoe not bad. but i think he isn't such good as were Ted Sheringham, or Ansy Cole or York or Ruud Van Nistelrooy...

and something else( i forgot): there are a lot of talanted players in united academy. Let them chance!

Don't think Defoe is bad, but neither is he good enough.

Height? Berbatov anyone? As much as I hate to say Drogba would be perfect for us. Jan Koller (spelling??) anyone? haha

I would like to see Defoe come to united, he has been linked with us ever since he broke through at west ham! recently I have liked watching Cameron Jerome of Birmingham City, i think he would be a good signing, if he can prove that he has what it takes to make it at a high level & english! lol

I think Defoe would be a great player to see at man utd and he would be a cheaper option.

Don't think Defoe's the answer to the striking problem, some height would be good, such as Berbatov or even Huntleear, up the reds
