He's decent, but we need better. Brownie has no pace and can't keep up with faster players.

Only 8.5 for Lahm? Bloody hell, I'll write a check for $1000 right now.

not to mention that Wesley is absolute shite at crossing, timing the overlap, and his biggest flaw is that he makes stupid mistakes that too often cost us. i love the lad for his aggression and because he's a local lad, but he's not first team.

Philipp would be a great signing for united. And i think he will cost exactly as his quality performances.About Alves we must think only if the first option transfer does not go through!

You do know that Alan Hutton was signed by Spurs...

Moving along. What is Lahm's aerial ability like? Also, does he play right back. I keep reading that he's a left back and I'm sorry. But, Evra has been nothing short of amazing since he has settled into the EPL game.

I must agree that in England you have to be strong in the air,but there is an advantage of not being so!The speed!
Yeah ,i have been mistaking as he is a left back and more than that,Bayern will never sell such a player or at least at this time!may be we must say Evra is best left back in the world, since Alves is right back also!

Everyone seems to choose Lahm,why?
He is quality player!

lahm can play in 2 sides ( i saw it in bayern this year) and he plays good, very good. his attacking abilitys are even better than evra, his crosses are world class (like D.alvas) in right and also with the left foot. he is also better defender from evra. i will be very happy if we will sign him and we will have 2 deadly sides (sorry gary ). i think Bosingwa will also be deadly in the same side with nani/c.ronaldo but i am not sure about his defending ability, i know that he is defender with very good technique, but what about defence?

Lahm currently starts at left-back for Bayern. From what I have seen and heard, he is just as comfortable playing on the other side of defense as well. In fact, that goal he scored against Costa Rica in the World Cup opener? He's become quite well-known for doing that, so I don't think his ability with his right foot is in question.

If nothing else, he will be brought on board to be the natural successor to Gaz and provide a bit of depth to Evra's position while we have Simpson doing the same on the right.

I agree. If Brown stays in United, I think that he is good enough for this team. He's got pace, is a good tackler and is always doing he's best. The offensive parts of the play can be improved, but the right back is kind of new for Wes and hopefully he will get better.

Lahm to fulfil Bayern deal

Bayern Munich expect Philipp Lahm to stay at the club next season, despite the failure to agree a new contract.

Lahm has another season to run on his deal at the Allianz Arena and had been discussing an extension with the German league leaders.

But talks broke down on Tuesday and it prompted speculation that the full-back could be sold in the summer.

However, Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer feels Lahm will fulfil his contract with the club before joining a major European team on a free transfer.

"I think he will play for us another year and then leave to join a club like Barcelona or Manchester United," Beckenbauer told Bild.

"He fits in well with us and has proved that he is a world-class players. It would be nice if he would stay."

Lahm joined Bayern from Stuttgart in 2005 and has attracted interest from Barcelona and United in the past, while Juventus have also been linked with a bid.

Great news.

Bayern really arent in a position to bargain in the summer. There is 1 year left in the contract and im sure they would like to get at least some cash for lahm rather than give him away for free at the end of the season.

lahm is the perfect full back for united. I really hope we can sign him this summer.
